Ahmek is a residential boys camp that has been operating in Algonquin Park since 1921 and is brother camp to Camp Wapomeo. A renowned tripping program is paired with a full in-camp program to provide a balanced atmosphere for boys to learn leadership, self-confidence, independence and team-building skills. As they get older, Ahmek campers can choose extended canoe tripping opportunities in regions such as Temagami, Kipawa, Quetico, Wabakimi and Biscotasing. Rustic values and the pristine Algonquin backdrop combined with experienced, qualified and dedicated staff help foster a safe wilderness setting where life-long memories and friendships are made.
