Wendigo Lake Expeditions Inc. operates year-round licensed and accredited residential wilderness expedition and challenge activity based adventure therapy programs for male youth aged 14-17. WLE also offers an expanding range of summer canoe camping programs and year-round short adventure programs for schools, colleges, children's service agencies, etc. WLE operates Project D.A.R.E., a youth justice therapeutic adventure program which has been in continuous operation since 1971 (see www.projectdare.com ). WLE employs over 40 full-time permanent staff as well as numerous summer program instructors. WLE is Canada's only organization accredited by the Association for Experiential Education ( www.aee.org )
