Nurses who want to…………
- Help children make happy childhood memories that last forever.
- Be challenged and gain excellent pediatric experiences.
- Work alongside other professionals using a team approach to healthcare.
- Utilize their nursing knowledge while at the same time providing campers and staff with a fun and healthy approach to camp life.
- Provide health education, promotion of healthy living, provision of first aid, emergency care, medication distribution and care for campers who are feeling unwell or homesick.
- Enhance their skills in areas such as: general assessments, public relations, ethics, emergency response, risk management, communicable disease, psychosocial, critical thinking and problem solving skills, to name a few!
- Increase their self esteem and self confidence, working both independently and as a member of a team.
- Experience an out of doors, fun filled, challenging camp experience in a country day camp setting
- Give their own kids the opportunity to enjoy the camp experience and hang out all summer in shorts and tee’s.
- Make a difference in the lives of children and have the summer experience of a lifetime!
