Waterfront Coordinator
The Bonnenfant Y Outdoor Education and Leadership Centre is
looking for a highly skilled, experienced and motivated individual to fill the
position of Waterfront Coordinator at the Otonabee Day Camp near Ottawa,
Ontario. The Waterfront Coordinator is a contract position beginning in early
May and ending at the end of August. An extension into October is possible.
The waterfront coordinator is responsible for the day to day
supervision of the waterfront which includes: swimming, canoeing, kayaking and
periodic specialty programs. Reporting to the Program Coordinator and
supervising all lifeguards and paddling instructors, the waterfront coordinator
must be comfortable teaching lessons, supervising staff and making decisions that
are always based on the safe and enjoyable experience of our participants.
Minimum Position
Requirements:

NLS certification â Bronze cross and medallion
examiners certification is an asset
·
Standard first aid and CPR
·
Pleasure craft operators certification
·
ORCKA instructors certification is an asset
·
20 years of age as of December 31, 2012
