Camp McGovern serves children from Big Brothers Big Sisters Programs, United Way and Social Service Agencies.
Seeking a Head Cook to coordinate the summer foodservice program.
With the input and direction of our Registered Dietitian, the Head Cook will prepare and serve healthly meals and snacks that fully meet Canada's Food Guide.
Camp McGovern is fully committed to offering a healthy well-balanced menu that focuses on whole foods, whole grains and plenty of fruit and vegetables. We are committed to ensuring proper nutrition for growing children and youth and believe camps should be leaders in teaching and providing health and nutrition.
This position takes creativity, determination, the ability to think out of the box and dedication to a healthy lifestyle. Our desire is to "buy local, buy fresh" and limit the additives and other unnecessary ingredients to produce delicous wholesome food.

Responsibilities include:
Preparation and presentation of meals and snacks
Supervision of kitchen staff
Maintaining a clean/safe environment
Food orders and budgeting
Mentoring and rolemodeling for staff and campers
Requirements:
Must be 25+ years
Food service/handling certificate
Have a knowledge/experience of meal preparation
Be highly organized and have an attention for detail
Able to delegate and maintain team performance
Be a motivator and be flexible
Able to maintain a clean and hygenic workplace
Info:
Mid June to end of August. Bi-weekly renumeration + 4% vacation pay. On site Room and Board provided.
