KITCHEN MANAGER / HEAD COOK

Camp Menesetung is currently seeking applications for the position of Kitchen Manager / Head Cook.  The successful candidate will report to the Camp Director and work with the kitchen assistant to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the camp kitchen, serving 60 to 90, depending on the session.  Serving three meals a day, from Sunday dinner until Friday dinner, he/she will provide leadership and expertise in food services. 

The contact runs from mid-June to mid-August 2012, plus some weekends in May and June, and may also include weekend and rental groups (if available). The successful applicant will be a self-starter and strong people person with a passion for cooking and new challenges.  He/she will demonstrate proven menu planning, ordering, and management skills, plus the ability to work comfortably with young adults and children.  On site accommodations are available, but commuting is preferred.  Previous experience as a camp cook along with First Aid and CPR would be desirable.  Camp Menesetung is an accredited member of the Ontario Camping Association and the United Church of Canada Camps.
