Long Bay Camp's exciting "Arts by the Lake" program is currently seeking
various positions. Long Bay's visual and performing arts by the lake is
a sleep-over camp near Westport, Ontario that offers workshops in
visual arts, drama, music and dance taught by talented and qualified
instructors. The program will run from June 28, 2010 to Aug. 01, 2010

Long Bay Camp is currently looking for an Assistant Cook. (Salary: $2000)

Here is what we look for:

The Assistant Cook must be an exceptionally responsible and highly motivated person with experience in preparing meals for large groups on a daily basis.

The Assistant Cook works along side the Head Cook and assumes responsibility when Head Cook is not present.

 He/she should have experience working with other people in a supportive, co-operative fashion. Most importantly, he or she should love to cook great food. Responsibilities include:

  Assist in the creation of 3 delicious meals a day for approx. 70 campers and staff, including a vegetarian entree for each meal.

  Follow routine for the kitchen's operation that defines the responsibilities and tasks of the kitchen crew

Assist in preparing all meals or direct their preparation, including desserts 

  Follow a regular schedule of usage, maintenance, and cleaning of all kitchen surfaces and equipment in keeping with health regulations

Assist in the disassembly and clean up of the kitchen at the end of the camp session

Make the kitchen a welcoming place that nurtures campers and staff alike
